We are very proud to be a part of the Westminster community for over 40 years. The business was founded in 1929 by Ralph D. Bowman in nearby Union Mills, MD. We began as a Ma and Pa grocery, and are now in our third generation.

The original store was a one-stop shop for the community residents. Special events included weekly Banana Auctions. Bananas were auctioned off to the customers, and a social gathering including local musicians was enjoyed by everyone.

The business moved to its current location in 1960. Westminster at that time was a very rural farm community, home to many dairy cows, chickens, and pigs.

Today, Bowman's Feed & Pet is in its third generation with Ralph Bowman's grandsons managing the business.

Our philosophy of providing for the customer's needs has not changed. Bowman's continues to provide value added products and services to meet the changing requirements of our customers. We look forward to serving you.
